Wimbledon Embraces the Future of Luxury Dining with Cutting-edge Culinary Experience

A summer’s day at Wimbledon is set to become even more glorious with the announcement of Keith Prowse’s ‘The Treehouse’, a brand new luxury hospitality experience for 2022. Responding to changes in the entertainment market, hospitality experts Keith Prowse have crafted an innovative experience for the modern diner who, although casual, will not compromise on quality. In chic settings, guests will enjoy a superb culinary experience of premium British produce curated by Tom Sellers, Chef Patron of the two Michelin starred Restaurant Story.

The Treehouse is a splash of modernity among the history and tradition of Wimbledon. The venue prides itself on creating a relaxed but refined ambience for a new generation of diners, balancing a laid-back, open space with exquisite food and drink. As live DJs set the tempo with a lively mix of funk and house, two live cooking stations, contained in intricately-designed bird cages, offer a rich visual and auditory experience. The vibrant interiors will appeal to a stylish contemporary audience, be it groups of friends, families, or business associates.

The dining experience is unique not only in craftsmanship but in service, as a roaming variety of small plates flow continually around the banquette, sit-up bars, small tables and lounge spaces. This smooth system will allow guests to enjoy uninterrupted food and drink at their own leisure, ensuring that they organise their day around games, not queues.

The food itself reflects a commitment to ethical and sustainable produce, sourcing all of its seasonal produce from small local suppliers. The menu, though still being refined and embellished, is expected to include a rabbit sandwich canape, including pressed rabbit leg coated in polenta and fried with bergamot picked carrots and tarragon emulsion. Meanwhile, the live cooking station will exhibit a range of fresh seafood, serving a signature dish of scallop, elderflower and cucumber. Paying homage to Wimbledon tradition, a gorgeous afternoon tea will also be available, with artisanal egg and truffle burnt toast sandwiches and Tonka bean canalés.

Alongside gaining entrance to The Treehouse, tickets will also grant guests full access to the grounds of The Lawn, where they will find a Whiskey and Cigar bar, as well as a beautiful cooling stream to dip their feet in on a hot summer’s day.

Keith Prowse, the UK’s leading luxury hospitality provider and creators of The Treehouse, commented: We are really excited to be adding a completely new experience to our already successful, award winning product range at The Championships, Wimbledon.”

“Research undertaken in 2019 confirmed that premium casualization has changed the landscape of how we dine and purchase. Pared back design, well considered food and communal experiences are trends that hit the mark for millennial guests, hence The Treehouse was born. A key pillar of our strategy is to constantly innovate, not for innovation sake, but to meet the evolving needs of our customer base. We are truly excited about this new concept and look forward to welcoming guests in June 2022.”

Tom Sellers, Chef Patron of Restaurant Story, added: “My team and I are excited to be working alongside Keith Prowse to create a new hospitality offering at this iconic British event. This is a truly collaborative effort with both teams sharing a joint vision and continuously working to the same high standard. The menu is in progress and we’re proud to be hero-ing and championing UK suppliers, supporting UK fisheries and telling a story through the food.”
